Principal's Desk
From the desk of Principal:
Teaching and learning require a calm and quiet atmosphere. Closeness to nature is an added advantage in learning process as nature is a good teacher. CRPM exists in such an atmosphere. The college is surrounded by forests in one side and agricultural fields on other sides. It is close to the village of Chatra where agricultural workers live. They have a good relationship with the college.
The college is just twenty four years old. I can vociferously say that if anybody wants to pursue higher studies with undisturbed mind this College is the appropriate place. We have good faculties. They are dedicated to academic, cultural and social activities targeted to the all-round development of students.
The founders of the college had a particular mission. This is to give the opportunity of higher education to rural students particularly the girls students who were to stop the education after passing out of school. The college is trying to fulfill the mission by making it a centre of higher education in vast area where there is no other place of higher education. Earlier Students have to travel 30 to 50 KM’s for admission. At present this College gives them a chance to get higher education near to their villages. Every year a good number of students get University degree with good performance in university examination. Many students find Avenue of further studies or job after passing from this College.
Not only the academic achievements, the college also gives equal importance to various co-curricular activities. College team participate in various games and sports events at University and state level and win medals.
Cultural activities in the college play important role to shape cultural atmosphere of the college. Social function, freshers welcome, Rakhibandhan, Rabindra jayanti, Saraswati puja, Blood donation camp, Tree plantation programme, celebration of language day and yoga day are the regular social and cultural activities where students, teachers and staff actively participate and enjoy the programme. In such various ways this College follows the path of man making education as told by Swami Vivekananda. But the environment is like that liked by Rabindra nath Tagore who loved the closeness of Nature. Thus he urged to God- take these cities and towns and give back those forests . We are fortunate that we are engaged in a noble profession in such a good natural point. We assure everybody particularly our students, the college is always with them for their all-round development at present and in future. May almighty bless all of us.
